The Beach House offers the most inclusive and exclusive Dual-Diagnosis, Individualized, Physicians Professionals Program in the nation. The Beach House Physicians Professional Program is directed by Dr. Harry Haroutunian & Dr. Mandy Neeble-Diamond. The program combines the need for both medical interventions along with the highest standard of clinical programming to help address all aspects of the physicians life.

Professionals Program

Our program focuses on all aspects of the professional’s life including; career, family, passions, addiction, medical health, mental health, nutrition and spirituality.

Within the last 10 years, professional burnout syndrome has been identified and is one of the leading contributing factors of addiction related disorders within the professional population. Symptoms of Professional Burnout Syndrome include; fatigue, loss of interest with multiple areas of life, decline in creativity, decline within your immune system, sleep changes, appetite changes, loss of focus on self-care, relationship/family issues, anxiety, depression, forgetfulness, impaired concentration, over use of substances and/or alcohol, cynicism, detachment, physical ailments, anger, irritability, muscle tension, body aches.

In 2013, The Journal of Addiction Medicine stated that approximately 69% of Physicians have abused prescription medicine to relieve stress and physical and emotional pain. Currently, around 15% of Physicians are addicted to drugs. It has always been human nature for those in distress to search for and reach for relief that is close to hand. Physicians have a stressful career and many times lack personal boundaries when it comes to self-care. Recently, Heath Services stated, Physicians who seek out professional treatment at a dual-diagnosis facility often succeed at a rate of 70-80% of marinating sobriety. The Professionals Program at The Beach House Treatment Center is designed specifically for success of each patient who enters.

Individualized Treatment

There are many reasons why a Professional won’t seek treatment. A few of these are fear, shame and guilt. Professionals are held to a high standard of ethics. When drug/alcohol addiction presents, the professional can feel hopeless and not know where to turn to ask for help. Others, who have a successful career, may think that they will be able to manage the addiction of their own, but the majority find out this is nearly impossible and usually find themselves in trouble with their governing board. No matter where you are in the process, we are here to help. We can work with your employer and governing board to help find solutions that will help you regain your career and your life.

The Beach House located in Malibu offers specialized attention for Physicians. Our intricate program works with all Healthcare Boards and Governing Bodies. We have partnerships with a wide-array of facilities to provide the professional with the best care available. The Beach House has round the clock medical and clinical staff. Every client receives a full medical and clinical assessment. Our treatment is 100% individualized based around the results of the assessments and the client’s needs. Each client works individually with Dr. Harry & Dr. Mandy, and is assigned a primary and secondary therapist, an addiction focused counselor, and a Psychiatrist.
